Hello Ghana!!

I've arrived in Ghana safe and sound.  So far everything has been amazing!

The whole group has  been on the go since we got here. We have been visiting schools, batiking, buying fabric and hanging with the locals.  Some girls and I went to a club to celebrate my birthday so that's a story in itself.  Ask me if you want to know ;-).

eating, eating and more eating

Oh how I miss Athens and the amazing food it offers. I truly have taken for granted how lucky I was to be in a city that has some of the best food in Georgia.  I've been eating fast food for the past couple of days and my body is dying inside. Not literally but it sure feels like it.

I can not believe I'm leaving for Ghana tomorrow. Have I packed? Haha nope. I do have everything surrounding my suitcase so I think it counts in some way or another. Sadly, I'm slowly realizing that I will be stuck on a plane for a very long time. What is a girl to do for that long? Make lists, read, master angry birds or  maybe sleep (doubtful). I guess I will find out soon enough :-).

It's that time of year again

I'm officially done with finals and my junior year of college. Crazy much? I think so.

It's that time of year again:
- Where I'm running around packing to jet off for the summer
- Trying to convince myself I'm going to the right place
- Getting everything together before I leave and trying not to stress (ha who am I kidding)

To be honest I haven't prepared my mind mentally for Ghana. Not a single bit.  Maybe I can just jump right into it and enjoy the ride? The truth will come out soon. After my whirl wind trip to Ghana I'm traveling down to SSI for my internship for the rest of the summer. I am beyond excited about this! Who wouldn't be, really? The beach, designing clothes, meeting new people & great food.
